A Universe for all

INCLUSIVITY, DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND ACCESSIBILITY (IDEA) INITIATIVES

We are building a conference where everyone can reach for the stars. We will be introducing IDEA initiatives in the conference in the hopes of achieving this objective.

SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS

BRAILLE SIGNAGES

COLOR CODE LABELS

We will have qualified sign language interpreters to ensure that deaf and hard-of-hearing participants can fully engage in the conference.

Important areas around the venue will feature braille signage for blind and low-vision participants.

Participants will be given color code labels to show their communication preference:

Green – Open to talk with anyone

Yellow– Prefer familiar faces

Red – Prefer limited or no interaction

SERVICE DOG ETIQUETTE

Some attendees may have service dogs for medical or psychological support. Please don’t distract or touch them—they’re working!

PREFERRED GENDER PRONOUNS (PGPs)

Pronouns matter. You might see the following pronouns on participants' name tags:

She/her, He/him
They/them
Ze/hir — and more!

Respect what’s on each person’s badge.

STUDY ON IDEA INTIATIVES IN PSSARC

The participants will be asked to assess the IDEA initiatives of the conference as part of a study by the organizers.

  • Several IDEA initiatives will be implemented only on the second day of the conference to test their effectiveness.

  • Consent to participate in the study will be asked for before the conference via email.

Public exhibits for all

FREE MOBILE PLANETARIUM SHOW, METEORITE AND SCALE MODEL EXHIBIT, AND FILM SHOWING

We are opening the gates of Adamson University to the public for a free entry to a mobile planetarium show, a meteorite and scale model exhibit, and a film showing. We highly encourage interested participants to register as soon as possible to secure slots, as they will be limited.
